Integrates with

AI platform that helps startups identify and target the right investors while optimizing their pitch decks for better fundraising outcomes.

Evalyze is an AI fundraising copilot built by someone who sat on the other side of the table: founder and CEO Vahid Fakhr spent a decade as a VC principal reviewing thousands of pitch decks before building this. It targets pre-seed to Series B founders running a raise without a banker, and it covers the whole arc — assessing readiness, fixing the deck, finding investors, drafting outreach, and tracking follow-ups — under one login. The AI layer is personified as 'Eva,' which is a branding choice I could live without, but the workflow underneath is concrete: every stage produces an artifact you can act on, and nothing gets sent to an investor without the founder pressing send.

What it does

The product is organized around five stages: assess, improve, match, reach, follow up.

Assess is the Startup Analyzer. It reviews the business from an investor-readiness angle and returns an Investor Readiness Score on a 350–850 scale — a deliberately credit-score-like range — across six dimensions: team, traction, problem-solution fit, competitive advantage, market opportunity, and scalability/unit economics. The report names areas that need more evidence before outreach starts.

Improve is the AI Pitch Coach, which scores the deck itself on a separate 0–100 Deck Score and reviews it slide by slide across 14 areas — story, structure, missing information, visual contradictions. The vendor says Eva reads the visuals as well as the text, catching a chart on slide 4 that contradicts a number on slide 12. The two scoreboards measure different things (the startup versus the deck), and keeping them separate is the right design; blending them into one vanity number would be worse.

Match comes in two flavors. Investor Discovery is manual filtering — stage, sector, geography, check size, investor type. AI Investor Matching starts from your startup and ranks investors using stage, location, raise size, thesis, preferences, and past deals, with a short note on why each one might fit. The press launch (GlobeNewswire, December 2025) claims a database of 12,000+ verified investors — funds, angel groups, accelerators — and an engine trained on 8,000+ successful funding applications.

Reach is Investor Outreach: Eva drafts an investor-specific email from that investor's thesis and recent activity, you review it, and it goes out through your own connected Gmail. Follow-ups are tracked in-platform with nudges when an investor goes quiet. The vendor is explicit that a match is not an expression of investor interest and that Evalyze does not invest, make introductions, or guarantee meetings or funding.

Above the self-serve product sits Managed Fundraising: an ex-VC-led team runs the raise for you — materials review, a 500+ investor pipeline, personalized email and LinkedIn outreach in your name, warm-intro paths through three networks, follow-ups handled, meetings on your calendar, weekly strategy and mock pitch support, data room and term-sheet guidance — for one flat monthly fee with no success fee and no equity. The stated typical result is 15–30 investor meetings per raise; that is a vendor claim on a vendor pricing page, and I would treat it as a marketing figure until a contract ties it to something.

My testing notes

I worked through the pricing page, the workflow documentation, and the founder-facing materials, and three observations are worth having.

First, the free tier is a genuine diagnostic and a walled-off workflow. At time of writing (evalyze.ai/pricing), Starter at $0 forever — no card — gives 3 Startup Analyzer reports a month, one fundraising campaign, up to 30 investor matches, limited discovery, the basic 350–850 readiness score, one startup profile, three stored documents, and 10 MB files. What it deliberately withholds: Pitch Coach analyses, personalized outreach, shortlists and exports, strategy calls. That gating tells you where the vendor thinks the value is — the scoring and matching are the teaser, the outreach system is the business. For a founder deciding whether to raise at all, three analyzer reports and thirty matches is enough to answer 'is my story fundable and who would care' without spending anything.

Second, the approval discipline on outreach is real and enforced by design. Pro adds up to 15 personalized investor emails per day, Eva drafts each one from the investor's thesis and activity, and the pricing table states plainly: 'Nothing sends until you approve it.' Outreach routes through your own connected Gmail rather than a vendor-sending domain, which protects your deliverability and keeps the relationship in your inbox. The limits of that design are visible too: Gmail is the only documented sending path, and there is no LinkedIn outreach in the self-serve product (LinkedIn is part of the Managed tier only).

Third, the honesty of the product documentation is better than the marketing around it. The vendor's own blog carries a section on model bias — noting that matching and scoring trained on past raises may disadvantage non-US founders, non-traditional models, and non-tech sectors — and tells founders to treat AI signals as input, not verdict. The blog also concedes that AI cannot generate warm intros, cannot choose your lead, cannot supply conviction, and cannot fix broken unit economics. Those concessions are consistent with what the product actually does, and they are the reason I take the two scoring systems more seriously than the homepage counters (which render as zeros in static snapshots and are unverifiable).

One conflict to flag: the pricing page currently shows Pro at $49 list with a discounted $17/month rate ($199 billed annually), while an October 19, 2026 blog post advertises a 25%-off annual deal at $12.50/month billed annually. Those numbers do not reconcile. Get the current Pro price in the checkout before you budget.

What it does not do

Evalyze does not replace judgment or relationships. Matches are relevance rankings, not commitments — no investor has seen your company because you appear in a list. The platform opens no warm intros in the self-serve tiers (the warm-intro 'pathway session' on Pro is a planning session; actual intro paths through three networks are a Managed-tier feature). It does not send anything autonomously, will not run LinkedIn outreach without the managed service, and does not invest or broker deals.

The evidence base has visible seams. The deck-training claim is inconsistent across the vendor's own pages — the blog says the model is trained on 8,000+ analyzed fundraises while the Pitch Coach page says 50,000+ decks that raised — and I could not reconcile the two. The testimonial quotes on the site are vendor-published. The Show HN post from September 2025 drew almost no discussion, and I found no independent hands-on reviews of the current product. Startup Analyzer reports are metered (3/month free, 15/month on Pro) and Pitch Coach is Pro-only with 3 analyses a month, so heavy iteration on a deck means either Managed or waiting. File caps (10 MB free, 50 MB Pro) will frustrate video-heavy decks. And the 350–850 readiness score is a proprietary scale with no published calibration — treat it as relative feedback between your own iterations, not as an absolute measure.

Verdict

Evalyze is the most complete founder-run fundraising workflow I have tested in this category: readiness scoring, deck coaching, investor matching, approval-gated outreach, and follow-up tracking in one place, with a free tier that answers real questions and a founder who publishes his product's limitations alongside its claims. The discount pricing conflict, the inconsistent training-data claims, the Gmail-only sending, and the absence of independent reviews are the reasons it stops short of a higher mark. Use the free tier to pressure-test your story and your target list; treat the readiness score as a mirror, not a verdict. Rated 3.3: solid workflow depth across the full raise arc (3.4), good value at the free and promo tiers (3.6), an approachable funnel with Gmail-only outreach as the friction point (3.4), thin but founder-accessible support with strategy calls on Pro (3.0), and caution flags on conflicting claims and a one-year-old product with no independent coverage (2.8).

Sources

Pros

  • Free Starter tier answers real questions without a card: 3 Startup Analyzer reports, 30 investor matches in one campaign, and the full 350-850 readiness score (evalyze.ai/pricing)
  • Two separate scoreboards — 350-850 Investor Readiness for the startup, 0-100 Deck Score for the pitch — instead of one blended vanity number
  • Outreach is approval-gated by design ('Nothing sends until you approve it') and sends from your own Gmail, protecting deliverability and keeping investor replies in your inbox
  • Pro bundles two 30-minute strategy calls per month plus a warm-intro pathway session — human help inside a software price
  • The vendor's own blog names the product's limits: model bias against non-US and non-traditional startups, no AI-generated warm intros, no guarantee of investor replies or funding

Cons

  • Pricing conflict at time of writing: the pricing page shows Pro at $49 list / $17 per month ($199 billed annually) while an Oct 19, 2026 blog post advertises $12.50 per month billed annually
  • Training-data claims are inconsistent across vendor pages — 8,000+ analyzed fundraises on the blog vs 50,000+ funded decks on the Pitch Coach page
  • Self-serve outreach is Gmail-only; LinkedIn outreach and actual warm-intro paths are locked to the Managed done-for-you tier
  • No independent hands-on reviews exist; the Sept 2025 Show HN post drew minimal engagement and all testimonials are vendor-published
  • Deck iteration is metered (3 Pitch Coach analyses per month on Pro) and file caps (10 MB free, 50 MB Pro) exclude video-heavy decks

Best For

Pre-seed to Series B founders running a raise without a banker who want readiness scoring, deck feedback, and investor matching first and approval-gated outreach second.
