eSkilled AI Course Creator
Pros
- + Document conversion turns internal manuals into structured modules — my 40-page procedures upload produced sensible topic hierarchy and quizzes needing only ~25 minutes of cleanup
- + Reading-level and country-context controls change the output materially: dialled down and localised, the AI writes like a trainer instead of a textbook
- + Starter's 1,750,000 monthly AI credits are not the binding constraint — I built 20+ courses in a month before the 50-course cap mattered
- + Four delivery channels (iframe embed, LTI, direct link, SCORM) cover the realistic LMS integration paths
- + Pricing starts at $59/month for one creator (at time of writing, per Capterra) — far below traditional authoring suites like Articulate 360's $1,749/year entry
Cons
- - SCORM export is gated to annual plans, so a monthly subscriber cannot fully test the most important LMS export during the 14-day trial
- - Not an LMS — no enrolments, compliance records or certificates; those need eSkilled's separate LMS or a third-party stack
- - AI output still needs a qualified human to validate assessment tools for audited RTO training — the tool compresses authoring, not sign-off
- - Live support runs on AEST hours, which one Capterra reviewer found difficult outside Australia
- - Very thin independent review base (two reviews on GetApp/Capterra combined) despite perfect scores, so long-term reliability is hard to judge
Brainscape AI Flashcards
Pros
- + Confidence-Based Repetition is perceptibly better tuned than binary spaced repetition — in my two-week block, interval behaviour tracked my actual recall
- + AI deck generation turns dense notes into a clean 20-card deck in under a minute in my test; free tier includes hundreds of AI-generated cards
- + Genuinely free self-study: unlimited manual creation and studying of your own cards forever, no ads
- + Certified expert-curated decks are noticeably cleaner and better organised than user decks in my comparison on exam subjects
- + Web Pro at $7.99/month (annual billing) is fair for the depth of engine and library on offer
Cons
- - Text-to-speech, promised for 2025, had still not shipped as of December 2025 App Store reviews — a real gap for language learners
- - iOS in-app Pro costs $19.99/month versus $7.99/month on the web for the same product; subscribing through Apple is a bad deal
- - Studying Certified and other users' public decks is Pro-only, so 'free forever' does not cover the library
- - No PDF/PowerPoint course import and no images or audio on free-tier cards
- - Certified coverage is uneven outside popular subjects; niche topics leave you with variable-quality user decks
