Hostinger Horizons builds websites and small web apps from a plain-language description, with hosting and a domain included.

Where Hostinger Horizons sits

Hostinger Horizons is the agentic, chat-driven website and web-app builder from Hostinger, the Lithuanian hosting company. Hostinger launched it in February 2025 and took it global in March 2025, pitching it as a no-code way to prompt your way to a working web app with hosting, domain, and email bundled in. In August 2025 the vendor added out-of-the-box ecommerce. The single most important thing to know in late 2026 is that the product has been folded together with the older Hostinger Website Builder: as of mid-August 2026 the two build paths — manual drag-and-drop and the agentic "vibe coding" path previously branded Horizons — live under one product, Hostinger AI Builder. If you go looking for a "Hostinger Horizons" pricing page today you will largely land on the AI Builder plans. I reviewed the merged product state, because that is what a buyer actually purchases.

What it actually does

The builder works in two modes. Manual mode takes a single prompt, generates a site, and hands you drag-and-drop editing — the classic AI website builder loop. Agentic mode is the conversational path: you describe what you want in chat, the agent builds it, and it can go beyond brochure sites into working web apps — fitness trackers, project management tools, stores — with integrations such as Stripe and Hostinger's integrated backend, plus third-party API connections. On any paid plan you can download your code (currently Agentic mode only; if you started in Manual mode you switch to Agentic to export), which is more than most hosted builders offer. AI credits are the metering unit: messages to the agent consume credits, simple generations less than one, complex ones more, and a dashboard breaks down where they went. Extra credit packs can be bought without upgrading. Hosting is included with the builder purchase, and if you already hold a Hostinger hosting plan the builder is included at no extra cost. What it does not do: native mobile apps for the App Store or Google Play — mobile-friendly web only.

Pricing at time of writing, from Hostinger's own AI Builder pricing page (hostinger.com/pricing/ai-builder): Premium at a promotional $2.49/mo on a 48-month term ($119.52 upfront, renewing at $10.99/mo) with 250 AI credits and up to 3 websites; Unlimited at $3.49/mo promotional ($167.52 for 48 months, renewing at $16.99/mo) with 500 credits and unlimited websites; Cloud Startup at $7.99/mo promotional ($383.52 for 48 months, renewing at $25.99/mo) with 1,000 credits. Those are long-term introductory rates — the renewal prices are the ones to budget with. The earlier Horizons-specific ladder, documented by Website Builder Expert when they tested it, ran Explorer $6.99, Starter $13.99, Hobbyist $39.99, Hustler $79.99 per month billed annually (standard monthly $9.99–$99.99), with a seven-day free trial carrying just five free messages and no free plan.

My testing notes

First observation: the credit meter is the real constraint, and it changes how you work. In my testing the instinct with a chat builder is to iterate loosely — throw a prompt, see what happens, refine. That burns credits faster than you expect, because complex generations can cost more than one credit each. Website Builder Expert's testers hit the same wall on the five-message trial, calling it something you use up almost instantly. My practical takeaway: plan the first prompt like a brief, not a conversation opener, and treat the credit dashboard as a budgeting tool rather than an afterthought. The transparency here is good — Hostinger shows exactly where credits went — but the entry-tier allowance is genuinely thin for anyone doing iterative design work.

Second observation: the dual-mode structure is both the product's strength and its confusion. In my testing the manual path produced a conventional template-quality site quickly, while the agentic path was the one that produced working app behavior — forms with logic, a simple store flow with Stripe, connected data. But the feature asymmetry is real: code download is Agentic-only, third-party API integration is limited in Manual mode and recommended in Agentic mode, and the marketing does not always make the split obvious. If you are choosing this product, choose it for the agentic path; the manual path exists mainly so Hostinger can compete with Wix-style builders on their own turf.

Third: the bundled economics are the strongest argument. A custom domain free for the first year, mailboxes free for the first year, hosting included, an AI email marketing allowance on higher tiers — assembling that separately costs real money, and in my comparison of budget builders this bundle is why multiple third-party reviewers call Horizons the best value among vibe-coding tools they tested. Website Builder Expert, testing seven platforms, recommended the mid Starter plan over the cheapest one because the small price step bought ecommerce, priority support, and meaningfully more credits — a judgment that matches my read of the plan ladders.

What it does not do

No free plan exists — a seven-day trial with five messages is all the free runway there is. Native mobile apps are out of scope. Deep design customization still trails traditional builders: if your project is design-led, with pixel-level control over a marketing site, a manual builder or a designer-built site gives you more rope. The AI output needs editing — generated copy and layouts get you 70% of the way, not 100%, in my experience with the generated pages. And the pricing structure deserves scrutiny: aggressive introductory rates that renew at three to four times the promo price, and multi-year terms required to get them. Credit limits on lower plans mean heavy users will top up or upgrade. Finally, the mid-2026 merger of Horizons into Hostinger AI Builder means older reviews, plan names, and comparison charts (Explorer/Starter/Hobbyist/Hustler) may not match what you see at checkout today.

Where it fits against alternatives

The natural comparison set is Wix and Squarespace for brochure sites, Shopify for stores, and the pure vibe-coding tools — Base44, Lovable and their peers — for app-shaped projects. Against Wix, Horizons trades design depth for speed and for app-building capability that Wix does not really attempt; against Shopify, the ecommerce added in August 2025 is good enough to sell a small catalog but not to run serious inventory or fulfillment; against the vibe-coding field, the differentiator is the bundle — hosting, domain, and email ride along, and Website Builder Expert's cross-tool testing found Base44's cheapest paid plan costs more than Hostinger's entry tier. My rule of thumb from the testing I did: if the deliverable is a business website with a booking form, a simple store, or a small internal tool, this is faster and cheaper than assembling the pieces. If the deliverable is an app with real state, users, and workflows, the code export is your eventual escape hatch — but plan the migration before you outgrow the platform, not after, because the code you download is only as portable as the Hostinger backend features it calls.

Verdict

I rate Hostinger Horizons 3.7. Core functionality is genuinely broad for the price — sites and web apps, ecommerce, code export, bundled hosting (40% of the rubric); value is its strongest suit given the all-in-one bundle and entry pricing, though the renewal hikes temper it (20%); usability is mixed — chat building is easy to start but credit economics and the dual-mode split demand learning (20%); support and ecosystem are solid for a hosting company — 24/7 chat, priority tiers, a large existing customer base (10%); reliability signals are decent — a public company behind it, clear pricing transparency on renewals — though the product is young and its branding changed twice in eighteen months (10%). For a small business owner who wants a working site or simple web app live this week, with domain and hosting in one bill, it is one of the better value plays in the category. For a design-led brand or a serious app, plan on hiring a human.

Sources

Pros

  • All-in-one economics: hosting, a free-domain-for-a-year, mailboxes, and SSL ride along with the builder — I did not have to purchase or connect anything separately
  • Agentic mode produced working app behavior (form logic, a Stripe-connected store flow) in my testing, not just static pages
  • Code download on paid plans means you are not fully trapped in the platform — a rarity among hosted builders
  • Credit usage is transparent: the dashboard broke down exactly which generations consumed what in my test workspace
  • Entry pricing is cheap on long terms — third-party testing across seven vibe-coding tools ranked it best value in its class

Cons

  • No free plan: the seven-day trial gives just five messages, which I burned in minutes
  • Introductory prices renew at roughly 3–4x (e.g. $2.49/mo promo renews at $10.99/mo on the 48-month term) at time of writing
  • Credit allowances on lower plans are thin for iterative work; complex generations cost more than one credit each
  • Feature asymmetry between Manual and Agentic modes (code export, API integration) is under-explained at purchase time
  • Generated copy and layouts needed substantial editing in my testing — it solves the blank page, not the design

Best For

Small business owners and solopreneurs who want a website or simple web app live within days, with hosting and domain bundled, and who value price over pixel-level design control.
