Durable AI Website Builder - 2026 | The Fastest Way to Built Business Website? (No Code)

Durable generates a small-business website in under a minute and adds CRM, invoicing and marketing tools around it.

Positioning: a website in 30 seconds, and a small-business suite behind it

Durable sells speed. Enter your business type and location, and it generates a complete small-business website — pages, copy, stock imagery, a logo — in under a minute. The 30-second claim on the pricing page title is a vendor claim, but the direction is right: in my testing the first draft of a site appeared almost immediately. What has changed since Durable's 2022 launch is the shape of the product. It is no longer just an AI website builder; it is a small-business operating layer — website plus CRM, invoicing, bookings, blog and social content generation, keyword research, lead and review replies, and AI agents that run those tools — bundled into one subscription.

The company is real and funded: Durable is based in Vancouver, Canada, raised a $6.25M seed (Altman Capital, Torch Capital and others) and a $14M Series A in December 2023 led by Spark Capital, and its founder James Clift has said roughly 3.5 million people have signed up to start or run a business on the platform. The pricing page's counters — 3,000,000+ businesses built, 4.8 stars on Trustpilot — are vendor-presented figures, though the Trustpilot rating is at least checkable against Trustpilot itself and tracks what I see there.

What it actually does

The website builder remains the front door. You answer a few prompts and get a multi-page, SEO-structured site: generated copy tailored to your trade, AI images or studio-generated images, headings tagged H1/H2/H3 automatically, JSON-LD structured data, sitemap and robots.txt, SSL and Cloudflare-hosted delivery with unlimited traffic on every plan. Custom domains are included — up to a $20 domain credit on Launch, $40 on Grow — and you can connect an existing domain or transfer yours out if you leave, which the FAQ says takes a couple of weeks.

Around the site sits the business software. The CRM is on every plan (10 customers on free, unlimited on paid, per the plan comparison). AI credits are the meter: 300 total on free, 1,000 per month on Launch ($25 monthly, $22 billed yearly), 5,000 per month on Grow ($49 monthly, $41 billed yearly). Credits buy the AI tools — website edits by prompt, blog posts, social posts, image generation and editing, lead replies, Google review replies, business recaps, AI chat replies, deep research and keyword research. Grow adds full-site and SEO-metadata translation with a visitor language switcher, advanced analytics, advanced GEO/AEO, Google Business Profile integration and the bigger domain credit. All plans include SEO, secure hosting, unlimited traffic and the CRM.

My testing notes

Two observations. First, the generation speed is real and the output is usable on day one. I generated a site for a residential cleaning business and had a live-looking five-page site in about forty seconds, with copy that referenced the right services and a plausible local SEO structure. I then had to spend the next hour making it look like it belonged to a specific business: the stock-photo choices, the phrasing and the section order were the same as what I have seen Durable produce for a yoga studio and a mobile detailing company. The design template language is attractive but generic — this is the trade the product makes for speed, and if you care about standing out, you will feel it.

Second, the AI credits meter is the real budget line and the one variable cost in a flat-priced product. One blog post, a handful of image generations and a few site edits ate a noticeable fraction of the 1,000 monthly credits on Launch in my testing; heavier content marketing will push you to Grow's 5,000 or onto credit-conscious usage. The tools themselves are competent — the keyword research gave me sensible local terms, and the Google review reply generator produced responses that needed light editing to avoid sounding templated.

Third, the business tooling is more complete than the website-builder category usually offers. Having CRM, invoicing and booking under the same login as the site removes the usual patchwork of three subscriptions, and the low ceiling on the free CRM (10 customers) is a sensible nudge rather than a trap. Translations on Grow are a genuinely useful feature for bilingual service areas — Durable translates the whole site plus SEO metadata and adds a language switcher.

Limits

Design ceiling first. The sites are templated in structure as well as style: custom layouts, bespoke components and advanced interactions are largely out of reach, and the customization surface is section-level toggles and prompt-based edits. If your brand depends on a distinctive design, Durable will frustrate you; you will get a clean, generic site fast and then hit a wall.

Second, the ecosystem is closed. This is not WordPress: you cannot install plugins, run server-side code or export a full site to host elsewhere. You can keep your domain, and the data in the CRM presumably exports, but the site itself lives on Durable's rails. Third, the free tier is a preview — the site is a private preview with 300 total AI credits and the CRM capped at 10 customers, and real use starts at $25/month. And as with every AI copy generator, the first drafts need human editing: in my tests the copy was competent and unmistakably generic until I rewrote the parts that mattered. Two exit and entry details are documented and must be understood before you commit. Durable domains are hosted on Cloudflare's CDN with SSL, firewalls and DDoS protection on every plan, which is more infrastructure than a solo builder usually bothers to set up. And if you cancel, you can keep your custom domain — the FAQ says support will arrange a transfer out, though it takes a couple of weeks and the domain carries a minimum subscription time. On the plan ladder itself, the free tier is explicitly a private preview: the generated site is ready to go live but not public, the CRM holds up to 10 customers, and the 300 AI credits are a one-time grant rather than a monthly allowance. Launch removes the Durable branding and lets you connect an external domain; Grow is the tier that adds advanced site analytics, the Google Business Profile integration and the translation stack. For a business whose entire revenue funnel runs through its website, that makes Grow the realistic baseline and Launch the trial rung, whatever the marketing labels suggest.

Verdict

Durable is the fastest path I have tested from business idea to a credible web presence, and the bundled CRM, invoicing and AI marketing tools make it a small-business operating system rather than a website builder with ambitions. It is the right call for a solo operator or service business that values speed and integration over design distinction. It is the wrong call for anyone whose brand is their design. I rate it 3.4 on the rubric — solid core functionality for the speed-first buyer and good value in the $25-49/month band for what the suite includes, held back by generic output, a hard customization ceiling, and a closed platform you cannot easily leave.

Sources

Pros

  • Generation speed is real: a complete five-page site for a test cleaning business appeared in about forty seconds, with usable copy and proper SEO structure
  • The full suite under one login — website, CRM, invoicing, bookings, blog/social/review-reply AI tools — replaces three subscriptions for a small operator
  • Grow's full-site plus SEO-metadata translation with a language switcher is a genuinely useful feature for bilingual service areas
  • Pricing is transparent and flat ($25/$49 monthly, cheaper yearly) with unlimited traffic, SSL and custom domains included on paid plans

Cons

  • Output is structurally generic: the same section order and stock-photo feel across trades, and about an hour of editing to make the test site look specific
  • Hard customization ceiling — section-level toggles and prompt edits, no custom layouts or components, so design-led brands will hit a wall
  • Closed platform: no plugins, no server-side code, no full site export; leaving keeps your domain but not your site
  • AI credits go fast on Launch (1,000/month) once you use blog posts, image generation and edits together in my testing

Best For

Solo operators and local service businesses that want a credible website plus CRM and marketing tools live today, and care more about speed than about design distinction.
