Transform product links into captivating video ads
Creatify turns a product link or description into video and image ads, generating multiple variations with AI presenters.
Creatify is the clearest example I have tested of a tool that collapses the ad production pipeline into a single loop: paste a product URL, get a video ad back. Built by Creatify Lab out of San Francisco — co-founders Yinan Na (CEO, formerly of Snap and Meta), Ledell Wu (ex-Meta research), and Xin Zhou (CTO), launched in 2023 — it targets a specific buyer: performance marketers and e-commerce brands who need a steady stream of short, avatar-led social ads and cannot staff a video team for every test. The company crossed $9M ARR and raised a $15.5M Series A in 2025 with a later Comcast Ventures investment, so the roadmap has money behind it. Whether you like Creatify depends almost entirely on whether "avatar reads your script in a UGC-style format" is the ad format your brand actually runs.
What it does, concretely. The core loop is URL-to-video: you paste a product page, Creatify pulls images, title, and description, writes a script, pairs it with an AI presenter and voiceover, and renders a short ad ready for review. Around that sit a wide set of adjacent tools: batch mode (multiple variations from one link — different avatars, hooks, script angles), Ad Clone (upload a high-performing ad or pick one from its ad library and get a rebuilt version structured around your product, renderable in 9:16, 16:9, and 1:1), an AI script writer, custom "Bring Your Own Avatar" digital twins, an AI influencer generator and AI human generator for synthetic personas, image-to-video, a talking-photo animator, platform-specific generators for TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, and X, a 7,000-plus music library, and Creative Insights — ad intelligence scoring competitor ads (the pricing page's competitor tracker advertises 10M+ Meta ads, a vendor claim). The avatar roster is the headline number: 300 AI actors on Free and Starter, 1,500 on Pro per third-party plan breakdowns, across 75+ languages. Its own avatar model, Aurora, animates a full person — head, face, and hands — from one photo and one audio clip rather than just lip-syncing a mouth. There is also a public API, sold separately from web plans.
Pricing first, because it is the part users complain about most. At time of writing, Creatify's own pricing page showed a Free plan (10 credits/month, roughly 2 video ads or 20 image ads, watermarked exports, 300 actors, 40 templates) and an Individual tier set — Standard at $10/month discounted from $15 with 55 credits, Pro at $38/month discounted from $55 with 280 credits, and a Max tier marked best value with 3 seats, 3 brand spaces, and up to 10 parallel generations (source: creatify.ai/pricing). Third-party trackers covering the same period describe the older structure: Starter at $39/month for 100 credits and one seat with 5GB storage, Pro at $99/month for 300 credits scaling to 5,000 by tier, and Enterprise custom (sources: predis.ai review checked 6 October 2026; orisu.ai checked 6 October 2026; adsgen.ai checked 17 September 2026). I could not fully reconcile the two — they may reflect an in-progress plan rename — so check the live page before budgeting. Credit math is what actually determines your bill: basic video runs about 5 credits per 15 seconds with length rounding up to the next 15-second block, Aurora costs 20 credits per 15 seconds, and Ad Agent ads cost more (a competitor's test measured 11.5 credits for 15 seconds). API plans run $99/month for 500 credits and $299/month for 2,000 per the same third-party breakdown. Two policy details matter: unused credits expire on a rolling two-month cycle, and the refund policy treats payments as final with narrow exceptions.
My testing notes. I ran a product URL through the URL-to-video flow and a small batch. First observation: the pre-render preview is genuinely consumer-friendly — Creatify shows the credit cost before you render, so the charge is never a surprise at spend time, and you can swap avatar, voice, script, and b-roll in the editor without burning credits. Unlimited edits on every plan is one of the friendlier policies I have seen in this category, and it materially changes the workflow: you iterate on the draft for free and pay only for the finished cut. Second observation: the script output is where the seams show. On a spec-driven product page the draft leaned on generic benefit language and needed rewriting before it sounded like a brand rather than a template; G2 reviewers describe the same pattern, and it matches my experience that this class of tool is only as good as the product copy it scrapes. Give it a rich page — strong copy, clear differentiators — and the drafts improve noticeably. Third: the batch variations did what the pitch says, delivering structurally different hooks rather than cosmetic reshuffles, which is the right shape for ad testing.
Limits. Creatify does not launch or manage campaigns on the web plans (the Pro plan's ad launcher for Meta, TikTok, and AppLovin and the Performance Agent narrow this gap, but Media buying is still mostly your job). Fine-grained scene control is weaker than dedicated editors — users report that editing individual scenes, voices, or layouts takes more work than expected, and some report occasional lip-sync drift or robotic movement in rendered output. Failed or slow renders can still consume credits; this is the single most consistent complaint across G2 and Trustpilot, alongside auto-renewal and cancellation friction. Image ads exist but video is clearly the center of gravity. And synthetic presenters raise disclosure questions on some platforms — check each ad network's AI-content policies before you scale spend, and keep a human approval step on anything that touches real people's likenesses.
On ecosystem and where it sits competitively. Creatify is not alone in URL-to-video — the field includes HeyGen, Arcads, Predis.ai, and a long tail of UGC-ad generators — but the combination of a large stock avatar roster, its own avatar model, batch testing, and an ad-intelligence layer is broader than most single-purpose rivals offer. The help center is Intercom-based and reasonably complete on billing mechanics, which is fortunate given how much of the product's friction lives in billing; support on the entry tiers is standard email, with dedicated support on Enterprise. Enterprise is sales-led and adds team features and API access to the web contract. Reliability signals are mixed but real: venture backing including a Comcast Ventures investment, a large and current review footprint on G2, Trustpilot, and Product Hunt, and a public help center with dated policy pages. The negative signal is the same footprint's consistency about credits and billing — a pattern across multiple review platforms is more informative than any single one-star review. Before committing to annual billing, I would run the free tier's 10 credits through one full product-to-ad cycle, then one batch of variations, and judge script quality and avatar realism on your own product rather than the showcase reel. The showcase ads are the best case; your spec-heavy catalog page is the real test.
Verdict: rated 3.7 — deep core functionality for its niche (URL-to-video, batch testing, Ad Clone, Aurora, API) and strong per-ad value at roughly $1.65–$1.95 per basic 15-second ad on the entry paid tiers per third-party cost math, with deductions on usability and reliability for the credit expiry, failed-render billing, and cancellation complaints that recur in user reviews. If avatar-led social video is your core creative format and you test in volume, Creatify earns its seat. If you need precise scene control, campaign management, or predictable billing, go in with your eyes open on the credit terms first.

Pros
- URL-to-video genuinely collapses production: in my test the pre-render preview showed the credit cost before render and unlimited edits let me iterate the draft without spending credits
- Batch mode produced structurally different hooks (not cosmetic reshuffles) — the right shape for testing which opening lands
- Aurora animates head, face, and hands from one photo plus one audio clip, a step beyond lip-sync-only avatars I have tested
- Wide surface area: Ad Clone, platform-specific generators (TikTok/Reels/Shorts/X), creative insights over 10M+ Meta ads (vendor claim), and a separately sold API
- Cheap per finished ad — third parties compute roughly $1.65–$1.95 per basic 15-second video on entry paid tiers
Cons
- Credits expire on a rolling two-month cycle and failed or slow renders can still be charged — the most consistent complaint in G2/Trustpilot reviews
- Refund policy treats payments as final with narrow exceptions; cancellation friction is a recurring review theme
- Script output leans generic on spec-heavy product pages and needs rewriting to sound like a real brand
- Fine-grained scene control is weaker than dedicated video editors; occasional lip-sync drift and robotic movement reported
- Pricing page figures ($10/$38 per month) conflict with third-party trackers citing $39/$99 for the same period — plan structure appears mid-change
