Integrates with
Coinfeeds builds AI agents for crypto and stock market data, used by exchanges, funds and consumer finance apps.
Where Coinfeeds sits
Coinfeeds is infrastructure, not an app you open. The company — founded in 2021 in San Francisco by ex-Uber data scientist Moyi Dang and ex-Microsoft/Uber/Robinhood engineer Bhavya Agarwal — builds AI agents and data pipelines for crypto and stock market intelligence, sold to exchanges, investment funds and consumer finance apps that want to show their own users curated market news, prices and sentiment. It came out of a crypto news summary bot that got popular on Reddit, then a news API that exchanges adopted, then a Y Combinator stint and a $2 million seed round in July 2022 led by FTX Ventures with Coinbase Ventures, Protocol Labs and Huobi Ventures participating. Finextra's headline at the time called it "Bloomberg for crypto," which is the right scale of ambition to keep in mind: this is a data-and-NLP layer other products are built on, and if you are a retail trader looking for a dashboard, you are not the buyer.
That positioning has only sharpened with time. The current coinfeeds.ai homepage makes a single promise — custom AI agents powering leading crypto exchanges, investment funds and consumer apps — and everything about the way the product is sold (demo-first, negotiated terms, custom development) confirms it. In my view the right mental model is a specialized Twilio or Snowflake for crypto information: you embed it, you do not browse it.
What it actually does
Three service lines carry the product. First, APIs: a News API that indexes articles, blogs and project content with filtering by keyword, category, source or coin mentioned; a Price API with current and historical USD/BTC prices, market cap, 24-hour volume and multi-year price histories for hundreds of assets (the docs advertise free access to the price data); and a streaming Chatbot API — a conversational assistant with real-time access to prices and news that developers can embed in their own apps, with a public demo at coinfeeds.io/chatbot. The chatbot is documented as doing three jobs: explaining technical concepts ("what is MEV," "what is NFT compression," "what is Eigenlayer"), summarizing recent project news ("give me recent news about Bitcoin"), and answering price questions ("what is the current price of Solana"), plus basics like ELI5 descriptions and simple Solidity questions.
Second, monitoring: portfolio monitoring that watches hundreds of assets for significant, configurable events, plus a news feed AI that ranks and surfaces relevant stories for consumer apps. Third, services: NLP as a Service and custom agent development, where funds and platforms connect their proprietary data to Coinfeeds' models to build bespoke analytical tooling — investment copilots, event detectors, sentiment pipelines. Underneath it all is social listening across Twitter, Discord and Telegram, the channels where crypto communities actually move information; the founders' thesis from the 2022 seed announcement is that web3 communities are "social first," and that mining those channels with NLP both filters spam and surfaces what matters in real time. The early product also built a custom social graph per coin or NFT project to identify key opinion leaders and track breakout projects by social momentum — that lineage shows up today in the event-detection customizations enterprise clients ask for.
On pricing, at time of writing there is no public price list. The current coinfeeds.ai site is a demo-request funnel, and every 2026 directory review I read reached the same conclusion: pricing is sales-driven and negotiated per account, with no self-serve signup path. One aggregator (TrendingAITools, June 2025) describes a free tier and a $29/month Pro plan — that maps to the consumer app phase of the product (app.coinfeeds.io launched in 2022 with free and premium options, with sentiment insights behind the premium wall and a free trial), and I could not verify those tiers against anything current. The honest spec for a modern buyer is "contact sales," and the only free surface I could confirm is the price-history API the vendor's own docs advertise as free to use.
My testing notes
Since the core product is sales-gated, what I could actually exercise was the public surface, and it tells you a fair amount. First, the chatbot demo at coinfeeds.io/chatbot is a real working artifact of the Chatbot API, not a video: it answers the three documented query classes — explain a technical concept, recent news for a project, and price questions — and the streaming response format and crypto-jargon fluency match the API documentation's claims. Asking it about a mid-cap token returns a coherent summary rather than a refusal, which tells me the news index reaches beyond the top ten coins. That said, the output is only as good as its sourcing, and nothing on the public demo shows citations per claim, which is the first thing I check in a financial data tool. For comparison, Bloomberg's terminal world conditions trust on provenance; an embedded chatbot that answers "what is going on with Ethereum" without linking its sources pushes the verification work onto the host app.
Second, the API documentation reads like a mature engineering product. The endpoint taxonomy is sensible — news, price, chat — with filtering by keyword/category/source/coin, and the price endpoints expose the exact fields you would want for portfolio tracking (USD price, BTC price, market cap, 24h volume, full history spanning years). The docs claim "frequent updates" and real-time behavior but publish no latency numbers or uptime SLA that I could find, so any integration commitment should start with those questions in the sales call rather than assuming them. Coverage is described as "hundreds of digital assets" and "all major crypto projects" with no published asset list I could verify — a meaningful gap for a fund that needs to know whether its long tail is covered before signing anything.
Third, the onboarding experience is enterprise-shaped. Every path on coinfeeds.ai leads to "Get a Demo," and the directory reviews of 2026 all flag the same thing — no public pricing, no self-serve onboarding, terms negotiated per account. For a fund or an exchange with a development team, that is normal and the testimonial on the homepage (a research team praising AI tools tailored to their investment strategies) is the kind of reference that matters in a sales cycle. For an indie developer who wants to pull news into a side project, it is a wall, and cheaper self-serve alternatives like CoinMarketCap's or LunarCrush's APIs are the practical comparison. Rightaichoice's 2026 verdict lands in the same place: real enterprise value for institutions, opaque demo-only pricing for everyone else.
What it does not do
Coinfeeds does not sell you a trading terminal or a retail research dashboard — the consumer app of the 2022 era has receded behind the B2B story, and no current self-serve plan is verifiable. There are no published rate limits, latency figures, uptime SLAs or accuracy benchmarks on the public docs, and no independent evaluation of the sentiment or event-detection quality exists that I could find. It does not appear to offer equities coverage depth comparable to its crypto coverage despite "stocks" in the positioning. The company is small — roughly $2 million in disclosed seed funding, one known round — which matters for a long-term data dependency: when your news feed is a vendor's pipeline, vendor viability is your uptime. And the cap table has a footnote worth knowing: FTX Ventures led the 2022 seed, an investor that no longer exists after the FTX collapse later that year; Coinbase Ventures, Protocol Labs, HTX Ventures and Y Combinator are the durable names on it.
Verdict
Coinfeeds looks like a credible, well-scoped data-and-NLP layer for crypto intelligence — serious founding team, real exchange usage of its news API, and a coherent API surface — but it is a sales-gated B2B product with almost nothing verifiable from the outside, and that limits how confidently anyone can rate it. I rate it 3.0: weighted across the rubric, core functionality is deep on paper for institutional buyers but unbenchmarked, value cannot be assessed without a quote and only the price API is clearly free, usability is fine for engineers but blocked by demo-only onboarding, the ecosystem signal from YC and Coinbase Ventures is solid for a company this size, and reliability signals are thin — no public SLAs, no independent performance data, and a small funding base. If you run an exchange, fund or finance app and want custom crypto intelligence plumbing, it is worth the demo; if you are an individual or a small team, the door is effectively closed and self-serve data APIs are the better fit.

Pros
- Coherent API surface for crypto intelligence: news with keyword/source/coin filtering, price history with USD/BTC price, market cap and 24h volume, and a streaming chatbot API with real-time data access (coinfeeds.ai/api-documentation).
- The price-history API is advertised as free to use — the one self-serve surface on an otherwise sales-gated product (coinfeeds.ai/api-documentation).
- Custom agent and NLP-as-a-Service work lets funds and platforms connect proprietary data to Coinfeeds' models rather than buying a fixed product (aitechsuite.com, 2026).
- Founding team and backing are credible for the niche: Y Combinator, Coinbase Ventures, Protocol Labs and HTX Ventures behind a $2M seed (prnewswire.com, July 2022), with a news API already used by major exchanges before the raise.
- Social listening across Twitter, Discord and Telegram targets the channels where crypto information actually breaks, and the public chatbot demo shows real crypto-jargon fluency in my testing (finextra.com, 2022; coinfeeds.io/chatbot).
Cons
- No public pricing and no self-serve signup — every buyer goes through a demo and negotiated terms (aitechsuite.com; rightaichoice.com, 2026), which blocks evaluation for small teams.
- No published rate limits, latency figures, uptime SLAs or accuracy benchmarks on the public API docs, so integration risk can't be assessed before a sales call.
- The $29/month Pro plan some directories list maps to a retired consumer-app phase and could not be verified against anything current — plan information outside the vendor is stale.
- Public demo output (coinfeeds.io/chatbot) shows no per-claim citations, a basic expectation for financial data tooling.
- Small, thinly funded company (~$2M total disclosed, one round) for a long-term data dependency, and the 2022 seed was led by FTX Ventures, an investor that collapsed later that year.
