PicsArt AI
Pros
- + One subscription covers many third-party generation models (Nano Banana Pro, Veo 3, Seedance, Kling) that would otherwise need separate sign-ups
- + Background removal handled messy hair and product edges cleanly in my tests with no manual cleanup
- + Pro pricing is competitive at time of writing ($10.50/month billed yearly per picsart.com/pricing) for the breadth included
- + Mobile app is fast and well suited to thumb-first social workflows; batch editing of 50 images saves real time
- + Long-lived platform with a large template, sticker and stock library including Getty video clips
Cons
- - Credit metering is hard to plan around: video models consume credits far faster than image tools and unused credits expire each cycle
- - Object removal smudged textured backgrounds in my tests where dedicated inpainting tools produced clean fills
- - Web interface carries a heavy rail of tools and upsells; first-time users open the wrong tools frequently
- - Free tier (roughly 5 generative credits per week per third-party trackers) is a demo, not a usable plan
- - No professional depth: no layer compositing, color management, RAW pipeline or multi-track video audio
Adobe Firefly
Pros
- + Standard image features (Generative Fill, moodboards) are unmetered on paid plans — my credit counter barely moved during image-only sessions
- + Only generator I tested that produces editable vector output via the Firefly Vector Model in Illustrator
- + Content Credentials metadata and the Do Not Train tag attach to outputs, which is the provenance story enterprise buyers ask for
- + Partner models from Google, OpenAI, Flux and Kling sit inside the same credit wallet as Adobe's own models
- + Generative Extend in Premiere Pro filled a short interview clip tail in one pass in my testing
Cons
- - Video work burns credits fast: 2,000 credits is only about 20 five-second clips per Adobe's own plan table
- - Credits never roll over between billing cycles
- - Aesthetic ceiling on photoreal and stylized images trails Midjourney on hard prompts
- - Top unlimited Firefly Video Model access sits at US$199.99/month, far above the entry tier
- - Requires an Adobe account and works best when you already pay for Creative Cloud
